All 100 tickets allocated to Carryduff Branch are now available to members to organise their own method of travel be it flights, taking cars, travelling with the branch.

The branch has to pay for coach seats whether the seat is filled or not. So a proviso for getting a match ticket is that members must also pay for a coach seat. The total price is £75.

If members wish to travel with the branch and stay with relatives or friends in the Manchester area this will significantly reduce the price of their weekend. The coach will not be making extra stops. Any members staying with friends or family will need to arrange to be picked up at the Village Hotel.

If members wish to fly it will allow more people to avail of flying at their own convenience as they may not be able to get off work on the Friday or Monday depending on the day of the game. The committee appreciates that this increases the cost to those members who used this facility last year, however as mentioned on the home page, only 20 people regularly availed of this service last year and as a result the majority of the membership will be accommodated by this system.

Should members wishing to travel under their own steam wish to stay at the hotel, the Branch Secretary will arrange hotel accomodation at the Village Hotel at branch rates to be paid in advance at meetings.

Only 2-3 matches were affected by demand exceeding supply last season. It is likely that members will be able to book their flights confident that a ticket will be made available. THE COMMITTEE STRESS THAT THERE IS HOWEVER NO GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL BE ALLOCATED A TICKET IF A TRIP IS OVERSUBSCRIBED  the usual criteria will be applied to all tickets. That is, if a trip is oversubscribed only meeting attendance will be used to establish who will be entitled to a ticket. The previous additional condition that only members travelling by coach will be given preference is therefore revoked as members paying for their tickets will be purchasing a seat anyway.

Trip lists will open in the usual manner usually 6-8 weeks before a game. The cost of a branch trip to include all travel match ticket and hotel is increased to £125 for juniors £145 for adults.

If members have indicated that they will be making their own travel arrangements, the committee reserve the right to sell unused seats on the coach at a reduced rate to family and friends of members who wish to travel for a shopping spree in Manchester. This money will be held in anticipation of increased prices and the purchase of additional LMTBs in the coming seasons. No refunds will be issued. Hotel rooms will be made available to those people at members rates.

Announcements will be made at meetings on how the system will work for midweek games.
